I am a quintessential white chick, thriving in the autumn months with sweater weather, pumpkin spice everything, cute Halloween decor, and homey soups. But I am a coin with two sides; the other being the white girl who loves summer sunshine and road trips to the beach. Enter: Summerween.
It is best of both of the best worlds. Cute Halloween decor meets fun summer activities and neons. A nailie friend hosted a Summerween collab on Instagram that I jumped on the chance to be a part of!
I reached for my favourite summer neons - the Holo Taco 4th Anniversary Retro Jellies collection (still my #1 launch of theirs, 2+ years later). I started with stamped spider webs in matching pastels to be the base for the Summerween design. Then, on my silicone mat, I drew a haunt of little ghost friends enjoying summertime activities. I did underestimate the size of my nail canvas, and accidentally made my haunt sooo smol! This required me to take macro shots of my nail art for the first time.
I made one ghost friend hoola-hooping, one headed to a baseball game, one enjoying a hotdog with - oops - some ketchup on his face! And one wearing water wings in the pool.
Now that the calendar has flipped to September, I am fully into moody autumnal nail looks. But Summerween was the perfect transition look to end the summer <3 Now get ready for matte, muted looks incoming.
